Vintage Sneak Peek

A hint of some of the new vintage dresses for TheVintageDesignShop.

Another glimpse of the new vintage dresses.

I was scouting today, out on a beautiful sunny Saturday. Apparently the weather is supposed to turn to showers and rain the next few days. I suppose it wouldn’t be a long weekend without some wet weather. Weather aside, I scored some excellent vintage, namely dresses and skirts keeping with the SS 2012 trends I’ve been writing about, that you will see appearing in the shop over the next few days. In the meantime, here is a teaser!

SS 2012 Trend: Digital Printed Fashions

One of the great trends for spring / summer is digitally printed fabric.  It’s amazing what technology can do and how textile design can get pushed to the limit. I love the vibrant colours!

Inspiration flew all over the runways and lookbooks. Mary Katrantzou’s line was gorgeous. I wish I could bring it home.

Inspirations also came from the stars wearing the ultra-vivid digital designs.

Mary Katrantzou also designed a wonderful line for Topshop’s SS 2012 collection of digitally printed fashions. Her work is absolutely beautiful.

I covet this Tracy Reese dress from her SS 2012 capsule collection for Anthropologie.

Do you have any digitally printed fashions in your closet? Are you willing to try the new trend of vivid colour and razor sharp prints?
